Hardware-in-the-loop real-time simulation platform for avionics system

 

The hardware-in-the-loop simulation platform of avionics system uses high performance main simulation computer as the real-time simulation platform, and configures different types of IO modules, including AFDX, 1553B, RS422, DIO, ARINC429, etc. It provides the simulation integrated environment of Rhapsody/Simulink simulation model, and provides projectors for three-dimensional visual simulation.

 

In the course of the test, users can cooperate with the integrated test of avionics system by static excitation and model dynamic simulation to help locate faults and solve problems. They can also monitor the data in the test process in real time, and support the analysis of test data and test results.

 

System architecture

The hardware-in-the-loop simulation platform of avionics system consists of four subsystems: main simulation computer, test network, input/output interface system and static excitation injection software.

The main simulation computer simulates the avionics/non-avionics subsystems, and interconnects the data I/O interface device or bus simulator with the real equipment to realize the smooth transition from full digital simulation to semi-physical simulation. At the same time, the simulation model of avionics system adopts the principle of loose coupling between models. Data are shared by middleware between models and models, between avionics system models and flight simulation software, and between joint simulation management software. The simulation models can be loaded independently for different devices to ensure the openness and expansibility of the system.
